Who supports you in Switzerland?

Polina Kravtsova — Easy Help Switzerland

Polina Kravtsova

Relocation Consultant · Zürich

My name is Polina Kravtsova. I support international clients with relocation, permits, and administrative processes in Switzerland. My goal is simple — make complex procedures clear, structured, and manageable. I am studying for a Master's degree at the University of Zurich, with a focus on migration and administrative law.

I know how hard it can be to move to a new country — I started from zero myself. Now I want to help others save time and avoid confusion when dealing with the Swiss system. My experience as a legal assistant at a law firm in Zürich helps me find practical, realistic paths for each client. Instead of uncertainty, you get clear steps and personal support.

Frequently asked questions

01

Do I need a lawyer to get a Swiss residence permit?

In most standard cases, no. EU/EFTA citizens have a straightforward process that does not require legal representation. Non-EU citizens with a confirmed job offer can also navigate the process with structured guidance and the right documents. A lawyer becomes necessary only in complex appeal situations or cases involving prior refusals.

02

How quickly do I need to register after arriving in Switzerland?

You must register at your local Einwohnerkontrolle within 14 days of moving into your address. This is a legal obligation, not a suggestion. Missing the deadline can result in a fine and delays to your permit, health insurance and bank account setup.

03

Can you help me if I am not based in Zürich?

Yes. While we are based in Zürich, we work with clients across Switzerland remotely. All consultations can be conducted online via video call. We support clients in Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zug, Lucerne and other cantons with the same process.

04

How long does it take to get a B permit?

For EU/EFTA citizens, a B permit is typically issued within 2–6 weeks after registration, depending on the canton. For non-EU citizens, the process involves additional steps and can take 2–4 months or longer depending on whether the employer quota approval is already in place.

05

What is the difference between your service and a lawyer?

We provide practical relocation consulting — help with documents, registration steps, authority communication, and guidance on the process. We do not provide legal advice or represent clients in legal proceedings. If your situation involves a court appeal or a complex legal dispute, we will tell you clearly and refer you to the right specialist.

06

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. The free consultation is a 20–30 minute call to understand your situation, answer your most urgent questions, and tell you honestly what next steps make sense for your case. There is no obligation to book a paid service afterwards.
